How to personalize your shoot without using props!

If you have been following us for any amount of time, you may have noticed that our Boudoir Sessions are a little different than what you may have found on Pinterest.

We have touched on the subject of props before, and why we don't like using them. Typically, they are a big no-no for us (depending on what it is).

Our Boudoir Sessions are about YOU. Lifting you up, empowering you, and showing off your inner model/ sex icon/badass. We don't want to hide you behind your guitar. We don't want to try to work in odd items that seem out of place - like why do you have a wrench on a bed in your underpants?? What are you going to do with a traffic cone between your legs?! I look at images like that and think, 'WTF?'. And if you bring items like that to your shoot, you may look back on your images someday and think the same thing. We don't want that. We want to create timeless and classic images showcasing your true beauty.

You can still personalize your own Boudoir Session without using a prop. How?

Bring in any pieces of jewelry that are special to you! Maybe it was your Grandmother’s ring, or your Mother’s pearls. Of course your wedding or engagement rings are a perfect example as well! Shoes are an amazing way to personalize your session, and we love simple touches like your partners tie.

Love the Patriots? We do too! Avoid bringing in a bulky jersey fit for a linebacker, and instead grab a fitted t-shirt or tank top with the logo. Want to rock your man's button down work shirt? We love the style but usually not the fit. Bring in a similar shirt but in your size.

If you are not sure whether or not to bring a specific item to your session, just send us a quick email or let us know when we do your pre-session consultation! If you do have any special requests, we just ask that you please ask us or let us know a head of time before your shoot!
