A Session From My Perspective
When Megan booked her session with us, she was adamant that if we didn’t make her look amazing she wasn’t going to buy any of her images. She is a mom of four with what she described as a “mom tummy,” and she was convinced that she was going to be that one client who didn’t like any of her images. She said this so many times on the phone, that I pretty much had to stop and laugh.
“GIRL!” I said, “Do you like the images on our website?”
“Yes,” she replied.
“Ok, well ALL OF THESE WOMEN have felt the same way you do right now, and said the same things to me! And guess what! Most of them have come back for repeat sessions because of how happy they were with their images. I’ve got you!”
When her session day finally came around, she reiterated a lot of her concerns to me especially during wardrobe selection. She kept gravitating towards more conservative pieces that were covering more skin. By the end of her photoshoot, we did an implied nude portion in the sheets, and at that point Megan was already feeling SO CONFIDENT in her skin before she even got to see her images!
During her photo reveal after the photoshoot, she said, “as long as I like half of these images I am going to be really happy!”
She was literally SCREAMING by the time the slideshow was over. Each and every photo that went by had her gasping and clapping with joy. Honestly, this is the best part of my job. I love watching women be completely blown away, taken by their own unique beauty. I am so grateful to be able to provide this service to women to change their lives, beginning with their self confidence and body image. This newfound confidence translates into so many other parts of their lives, from the way they walk, talk, take care of themselves, parent their children, their relationship with their spouse, confidence at work, and so much more. We call it a “boudoir transformation,” but in reality it’s more like a total life transformation.
Megan's session was in December 2022 and has since come back to see us for two more sessions and has another on the books.
